Charging Infrastructure Policies
In 2023, the Scottish Government launched a new £60 million EV Infrastructure Fund to encourage the development of a robust EV charging infrastructure network. The government targets doubling the size of its current network to reach ~6,000 charge points by 2026.

Vehicle Incentives
Transport Scotland’s Used Electric Vehicle loan provides eligible drivers an interest-free loan of up to £30,000 for the purchase of a used electric car or van. Interest-free loans are also available for the purchase of new electric taxis.
