ZEV Related Policies
In June 2022, President Andrés Manuel Lópex Obrador announced that 50% of vehicles produced in Mexico will be zero emission by 2030. At COP27, Mexico released a new Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), with a target of 50% ZEV LDV sales by 2030.

Vehicle Incentives
Electric and hybrid vehicles are eligible for New Automobile Tax Exemption, income tax deductibility of the investment in green cars, and deduction of up to 285 pesos per day per car for the temporary use or enjoyment of cars that are propelled by rechargeable electric batteries.
