Charging Infrastructure Policies
The Fast-Charging Station for Electric Vehicles Grant Program, with a budget of 300 million TL, will install 1,560 high-speed charging points in 81 provinces.
Vehicle Incentives
In March 2023, new vehicle registration tax rate was introduced to incentivize sales of electric passenger cars. Buyers of new electric passenger cars with less than 160 kW electric engine power and cost less than 1,250,000 TL are eligible to pay 10% registration taxes, and 50% if over 165 kW engine power and below 1,350,000 TL. Vehicles with more than 160 kW engine power and cost over 1,350,000 TK pay 60% registration tax.
